How I got into design?

Honestly, my self from 5 years would never have thought I would get into UI UX Design. I was an Engeneering student pursuing Computer Science and loved coding! But by the end of my 3rd year in college I had realized that I do not want to pursue a coding role. By the start of 4th year not only was I not participating in my college placements, but also diagnosed with anxiety and depression.

That is when I found design. And I don’t joke when I say design saved me! It started with Illutrator. After several youtube crash courses on Illustrator, logo designs and a lot of exploring later, I stumbled across ****UI/UX Design and Figma on Abhinav Chhikara’s youtube channel.

For an empath and tech savvy person like me, it seemed like the perfect role! A few months after this, I was doing an Internship as a UI UX Designer in Jewel Studio, a startup based in California and participating in a Bootcamp for design by Growth School.

UI/UX Design not only opened doors for me in my career but also in self-improvement and friendships. I aim to become a designer who can design solutions which make people happy and their lives just a bit more easier.

A little about me outside of work..
